Catchlight Energy conducted a detailed life-cycle analysis (LCA) to quantify the expected reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with our planned production of renewable biofuels.

We calculated the net reduction in green house gas (GHG) emissions resulting from the production of renewable fuels (such as cellulosic ethanol, green diesel and green gasoline) from forest-based biomass feedstocks (such as forest residues and intercropped switchgrass).

To accomplish this, we collected data from extensive biomass field experiments and promising conversion technologies that convert the biomass to biofuels. This LCA model provides the transparency required to demonstrate that the biofuels we are targeting to produce meet the GHG reductions established by the Renewable Fuels Standard.

Comprehensive life-cycle analysis allows for transparent evaluation of various feedstock production systems and conversion technologies
